2018 Ithaka S+R Undergraduate Student Survey at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Students use the libraries
- 97% – Have visited a campus library
- 62% – Visit weekly or more
- 40% – Attended a library session
- 42% – Said they prefer studying/working in a campus library more than in other types of buildings
- 52% – Agreed or strongly agreed to the statement "When I am in a campus library building, I feel that I belong"

Students most appreciate the libraries for their:
- Study Space
- Resources
- Level of Safety
- Internet Access

Students gain valuable skills
Students who attend library instruction sessions or consult with a subject librarian:
- Develop their research skills to find and use academic information
- Are more confident in their ability to use information ethically
- Are more confident in their ability to submit grant proposals or other funding requests
